RAY & HAYLEY | 12 Apostles
Ray is originally from South Africa and Hayley from New Zealand, but they live in Australia...how's that for the tri nations? The wedding had a few special moments, from a smoking sorbet to the Haka (the Rugby War cry). Ray & Hayley I had so much fun and thank you for making me part of your most special day!

Take everything you know about how a wedding day should go - and forget that! Hannes, is a wedding planner( he's the co owner of KRAAK) and he decided that he and Tina's wedding was going to be completely upside down and wrong way front... the started with a "first look", then did all the formalities like the speeches, then the ceremony and then the party! The wanted a beautiful outdoor reception with one LOOOOOONG table and lots of fairy lights under the stars, unfortunately it rained...but what can one do ;( Tina wore her Grandmother's Wedding dress and Hannes the tie his dad wore to his Matric Farewell... Florist: El le Fleur, Candles: Classy Hire, Lights: In & Out Events, Band: Bottomless Coffee & Catering: Malita Joubert.

I was really excited when Nicole booked me for her and Richard's, Island wedding...but the moment I was settled into the plane...I thought by myself: “I'm hopping on a plane, spending 5 days with 50 complete strangers on a remote Island... it sounds like Survivor!” At that stage I could only hope my Camera would buy me immunity! Luckily I had nothing to fear, the strangers quickly became friends and I enjoyed seeing a family that close celebrating, such a special occasion! I like to make a special mention about Nicole's mom. She sacrificed her whole baggage allowance, so they could pack all the decorations for the wedding in her suitcase... now that is motherly love ;)

Did I mention I love midweek elopement weddings? Well I do... I mean it's just so romantic, running away just the two of you to a foreign country, committing to each other forever and ever... ahhhhh!! Steve & Nermin are both from Germany but Nermin was born in Turkey. I immediately felt drawn to this amazing, friendly couple and spending their most special day with them was truly special to me. Nermin & Steve hope you will always remember your wonderful wedding in South Africa and Nermin I'm so sorry you didn't get the blue South African sky you dreamed of... I seem to have this thing for "spotting" movie stars' doubles and these two reminds me a lot of Keanu Reeves & Kate Beckinsale. Palmiet Valley Estate is fast becoming one of my favourite venues to shoot at.
