There have been times before when I got into bed at 3am after a wedding, but this was the first time I got UP at 3 to go to a wedding. It felt like I was going on a road trip, just me and my tjorrie and a large...very large cup of coffee. Kobus & Léan opted for a morning wedding, because they flew to Bali on their honeymoon later that afternoon... and I must say morning weddings have a special relaxed atmosphere to them which I love... with flowing bunting in the morning breeze and delicious scones, muffins and quiches to eat. I met Léan at her sister's wedding which I also did a few years ago. Léan & Kobus are such a sweet couple and doesn't Léan have the most beautiful eyes? I also just wanted to make a special mention about my SUPER assistant for the day Liesl Basson, I've never worked with someone as caring as her... thanks for just pitching up with a glass of juice and looking for my car key AND finding it after I briefly mentioned I don't know where I put it. Another lady also a Basson did the stunning make-up and hair, thanks Marli and have a look at the most delicate cake made by Edible Art Cakes.Flowers: Studio Bloem

John & Natalie's wedding had a bit of a rocky start, the minister had an car accident (thank goodness he was ok) and I fell in front of the groom and the groomsmen...apparently my duck-and-roll movement is quit spectacular LOL But that didn't set the tone for a absolutely wonderful wedding in a beautiful venue. Natalie's gorgeous dress was made by her mom-in-law and John got himself a pair of shoes made by John White...and guess what John's surname is? All the ladies wore colourful Facinators, giving the festivities a feel of a day at the races. The guests partied late into the night underneath the African stars...

Charlene & Stephan's wedding were bright, colourful and such fun. With a rainbow pallet and lots of references to Africa, Charlene wanted to represent her and Stephan's country of birth, since both of them work in Dubai and a lot of the guests were from abroad. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Table mountain, the day was perfect...

Angus & Annelle's wedding were held on Annelle's Dad's farm and they converted and old wine cellar into a rustic venue with a French flair. It was an intimate affair with some quests flying 36 hours from New Zealand (Angus is a Kiwi) to attend. Annelle had an amazing dress with the most delicate lace and beading by Jamie Richards from MargaretWray Vintage Inspired Gowns. I've never been to Moyo at Spier in Stellenbosch, for a wedding before and boy what a treat! Leigh is South African and Muz is a Britt and they wanted all the guests who traveled all over the world to experience an African vibe... with face paint, singing women and dancing African warriors, the guests got a slice of vibrant South Africa. Leigh's whimsical dress was designed by none other than Claire Pettibone.
