DANNY & LOUISE | Asara – Stellenbosch

Jewish weddings are ALWAYS fun...with lots of tradition and one massive party! Danny & Louise live in Los Angeles where Danny is a Rocket Scientist... no I'm not joking he actually is. He dreamt of being an Astronaut since he was little (like lots of other boys), the difference is that he worked really hard at getting to his goal, and although a Rocket Scientist isn’t 100% an Astronaut, the possibility of becoming one is just so much closer! Louise's motto is “Live Life Large” and from this absolutely gorgeous girls smile and zest for life you can see it isn't merely a motto but a way of life. One of the highlights of the evening for me was the “Fake Interpreter” (Danny's Brother) whom translated Danny's speech for those who couldn't hear LOL. Louise's stunning hair and make-up was done by Corlé Barnard.

What I remember about their day: Oh wow, I have been really privileged this season to be part of some EPIC parties at weddings. Lisa & Martin's wedding was planned by the amazing [Kraak],and everything revolved around having the best party ever. Food Stations, and lots of couches where scattered on Kleinevalleij's lawn, overlooking the mountains. What I loved was the way they did the formalities. They didn't spend that much time away for couple photos, but rather wanted to spend it with their friends and family. This time of year Cape Town and surrounds have the most amazing balmy evenings and they made the most of it. Rather than spending time indoors during their speeches, they had everybody outside with snacks, a ice cold glass of wine and did the speeches outside, only going inside for mains. It worked amazingly well to set the right atmosphere to one of the most enjoyable weddings in a long time. They also opted for a Slow Motion Video booth, instead of a videographer and that novel idea kept the guests entertained for hours - have a look at it here. This epic wedding “ended” with Gourmet Hot Dogs from “Die Worsrol” and sparklers.... The lovely décor done by El le Fleur.

I love the “Hemel-& Aarde” Valley close to Hermanus, and LaVierge is set in one of the prettiest parts of the Valley. Set on a cliff overlooking the valley and all the vineyards, it really is a spectacular place. Henry & Chantelle had their ceremony on their deck – beautiful. Chantelle decide to incorporated her “something blue” directly into her dress and she looked so stunning in her light blue dress, they bonded the blue together with Henry's Navy Blue suit and white polkadot bow tie... Guys I enjoyed spending the day with you... have a happy forever after ;)
